JUST IN: LIST OF MOST ADMIRED AND INFLUENCIAL PEOPLE IN THE WORLD

Bill Gates

YouGov recently released the list of the world most admired and influential people in the world. That was reached after the polling company asked panelist across 30 countries of the results of survey   conducted in different countries. The survey was based on the men and women they consider influential and the ones they admire more.

However the list has drawn a lot of controversies from different countries as some countries and continents alleged marginalization and colonial hatred. Different critics stated that the list is just a jaundiced picture of western dominance over other continents.

LIST OF THE MOST ADMIRED AND INFLUENTIAL PEOPLE IN THE WORLD (MEN)

On top of the list is Bill Gates, Gates is also ranked as the most generous person in the world.

He is followed by Barack Obama

Xi Jinping

Jackie Chan

Stephen Hawking( Hawking was voted the most admired man in United Kingdom).

Vladimir Putin took the sixth position beating Pope Francis.

Dalai Lama was ranked 8th.

David Beckham and Lionel Messi also made the top 20 list for male list.

Pope Francis only managed to get 13th position.

Donald Trump occupied 18th position in men's ranking.

His political rival Bernie Sanders was placed 20th.

              FEMALE CATEGORY

The first position was taken by Queen Elizabeth II of England
She is closely followed by Malala Yousafzai
Aung San  Suu Kyi came third.

Other people that made the list include: Marine Le Pen who is the leader of the French Far- Fight National Party, Sandra Bullock,Emma Watson, Celine Dion and Taylor Swift.

NOTE: No African made the list and only few Asians were picked. This sole reason made critics to undermine the list calling it selfish and not all embracing, they alleged that the survey was not properly conducted so therefore it is not worthy to be called world list.

In  contrast to that, some Westerners have praised the list particularly for featuring Putin, Obama and Trump.
